NT Greek Reading Group: Mondays, 9:00-9:45PM EST
Update (11/26/25): We are currently taking a short break from the NT to read through the book of Ruth in the LXX before returning back to the NT.
Welcome!
The New Testament Greek Reading Group is for those who has studied the basics of biblical Greek and would like to keep up with their language skills or who simply enjoy reading ancient texts in their original language. We would love to have you join us online each week as we read through the NT together. There is a range of language proficiency among our members, from beginning students to those who have been reading Greek for many years. This is a very informal and supportive group, and no weekly preparation required.
We read through each book, taking turns reading and then translating the text while helping each other work through both lexical and syntactical questions. We generally work through the NT books in order of difficulty (see list below).
Some of us stay after to read a bit in the Hebrew Bible. You are welcome to stay or skip that portion. We are currently reading through Deuteronomy.
If you would like to join us, simply sign up using the form on the right (or below, if on a mobile device) and you’ll be emailed instructions for how to join our group in Discord.
