Sight-reading group: Mondays, 9:00-10:00 PM EST
Next meeting: We will begin at Luke 2:22 and Deut 21:1.
The purpose of the New Testament Greek Reading Group is to encourage anyone who has studied the basics of biblical Greek to review and practice their language skills. Many of us are aware that students of Greek often forget most of what they have learned if they do not intentionally practice reading. We would love to have you join us online in reading the NT together each week. This is a very informal group and weekly preparation is not required.
In the sight-reading group, we read through each book in order of difficulty and aim for a rough translation of the text while helping each other with lexical/translation suggestions. Below is Daniel Wallace’s list of the NT books arranged by order of difficulty which we follow loosely. This list will be updated as we complete each book.
Some of us stay after to read a bit in the Hebrew Bible. You are welcome to stay or skip that portion.
If you would like to join us, simply sign up using the form on the right (or below, if on a mobile device) and you’ll be emailed instructions for how to join our Skype group!
