We discussed Heb 3:2 especially the participle: ἀμελήσαντες. Looking at Wallace Biblical Greek Beyond the Basics p 632, there is that conditional participle.
There is also the problem of simplifying Koine Greek to modern English in the “if” statement.
Here is a short youtube video on the issue of if statements by Bill Mounce Jr, and how context is needed to determine which if is meant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5uBs-AyuHg,
Saw the same video recently. This is a good reminder that context determines the meaning, especially with adverbial participles. I’ve been working (slowly) through Runge’s Discourse Grammar of the Gk NT and just went through his chapter on circumstantial frames focusing on adverbial participles. Interesting perspective compared to the traditional grammar approach.
